Ballet
West is proud to continue its long-standing commitment to
bringing dance to more people in the west of Scotland. Ballet
West graduate and member of the Royal Academy of Dance, Amanda
MacArthur and her team of highly qualified teachers, currently
offer classes in Oban, Taynuilt, Fort William, Gairloch, Ullapool
and Campbeltown as the Ballet West Outreach Programme continues
to grow and reach more people.
Ballet West founder, Gillian Barton, said “We are very
pleased to reach out to communities beyond our base at Taynuilt
and bring dance to as wide a range of people as possible.
Amanda is an enthusiastic, motivational and talented teacher
with a special gift for teaching young children, including
those as young as two years. I have every confidence that
those who attend her classes will have a wonderfully fun time
learning to dance.”
In the future it is hoped to involve more rural and island
communities within Argyll and further afield.
If anyone would like the Ballet West Outreach programme
to extend to their community or further information on the
existing programme, they should contact Ballet West at balletwest@btconnect.com
